Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters battle huge blaze in disused flour mill

The London Fire Brigade have tackled a huge fire in a disused flour mill in Canning Town.

Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters were needed to bring the blaze on Mill Road under control.

Fire appliances from Dagenham, East Ham, Plaistow, Stratford, Poplar, Shadwell, Bromley and East Greenwich fire stations took part in the operation.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
