The Met Police are appealing for witnesses after a 25 year old woman cyclist was killed at around 9.20 last night in a fatal collision with a truck in Bloomsbury WC1.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit say the collision occurred at the junction of Vernon Place and Bloomsbury Square.
London’s Air Ambulance attended.
The 25-year-old cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The young woman is the third cyclist killed on London’s roads this year.
Officers are in the process of informing next of kin.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
There have been no arrests.

Road closures have been in place with traffic in the area subject to diversions.

On Monday 9th February the Met Police named the cyclist who died as 26 year old Frederica Baldassa, an Italian national from Stepney.
