This man lost £80 gambling- now the police want to speak to him after he tried to smash up the bookmakers

Police in Waltham Forest have released video footage of a man trying to smash up a bookmakers’ shop after he’d lost £80 in bets.

His actions cost around £500 worth of ‘criminal damage’ at Coral bookmakers in Wood Lane Walthamstow Thursday night 5th of February.

Staff had spoken to a customer about his rude behavoiur after being refused a drink.

The suspect became angry, grabbed a chair, and smashed a polystyrene ceiling tile.

He kicked and damaged the glass door panel, and then tried  to smash the front window with the chair before leaving.

The police would like to talk to him.

They say tt’s believed he’d just lost £80 in a gaming machine.

The suspect is described as white and wearing navy tracksuit trousers and a blue and grey hooded tracksuit top.
