A woman believed to be in her 50s has been stabbed to death in a house in Kidbrooke.
Met Police officers and London Ambulance Service were called to an address in Langbrook Road, SE3 at midnight last night.
A 63-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
He has been taken into custody at a south London police station.
Enquires continue to locate the woman’s next of kin.
A post mortem examination is expected to take place today.

63 year old Ronald Bacon has been charged with the murder of his partner Tracy Goodwin in Kidbrooke.
Mr Bacon from Langbrook Road appeared in custody at Bexley Magistrates’ Court today charged with her murder at same address.
Although officers await formal identification, they are satisfied that the deceased is 56 year old Ms Goodwin who has been described as a grandmother who had a long career in the City as a legal secretary
