The Met Police have released detailed descriptions of the three suspects shown in CCTV footage attacking Alan Cartwright and his friends in Islington on Friday night.

The fifteen-year-old was stabbed in the chest while riding his bike on the Caledonian Road.

All three male suspects are described as young, slim or medium build.

  • ‘Suspect one’ is believed to be white, wearing a grey or dark coloured hooded top and dark bottoms which could have had a key chain hanging from the rear pocket.
  • ‘Suspect two’ is thought to be black, wearing a black sleeveless jacket with a black hooded top underneath. He was also wearing a shoulder bag across his body.
  • ‘Suspect three’, whose ethnicity is unknown, wore a three-quarter length coat with a hood, a dark top with a multi-coloured motif on the chest, lighter coloured bottoms and dark shoes.

Police are looking for the two bicycles stolen from Alan’s friends:

  • The first is a red mountain bike branded ‘Specialized Hard Rock.’
  • The second is a black and red ‘Specialized Vita’ pedal cycle, with the word ‘Specialized’ written in white.

The police say if you’ve seen the bicycles or recognize the suspects, please contact the incident room on 020 8345 3734 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org.
