It’s been revealed that four of the five east London schoolgirls made wards of court to prevent them travelling to Syria go to Bethnal Green Academy.
This is the same school attended by 16 year old Kadiza Sultana, and 15 year old Shamima Begum and Amira Abase who left their homes to travel to the Islamic state in February.
They are believed to have joined their friend 15 year old Sharmeena Begum who went there in December last year.
All four teenagers are now thought to be in Raqqa- the headquarters of IS.
Mr Justice Hayden allowed the school to be named after the UK’s national news agency, the Press Association, argued that revealing the link to the school would be in the public interest.
PA said parents in Tower Hamlets considering schools for their children had a right to know whether the three missing teenagers and the five grounded girls went to the same school.
