Police in Sutton are investigating a fire that broke out in a disused hospital wing this morning.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers attended the blaze on Cotswold Road in Sutton.
The fire affected a building of three floors and part of the second was damaged.
Crews remained at the scene all day cutting away and damping down remaining hot spots.
The London Fire Brigade reported: ‘Fortunately there were no injuries.’
Firefighters from Purley, Sutton and Wallington fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at three minutes past nine and the fire was under control by 10.26
The Met Police in Sutton say they are investigating the incident as arson.
