Cyclist killed at Millbank
Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was killed in a collision in Westminster Thursday morning 9th April..
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 9.33 am to a tipper lorry in collision with a female cyclist.
The incident was at the junction of Millbank and Horseferry Road.
The 40-year-old driver of the tipper lorry stopped at the scene and was not arrested.
The cyclist is a 55-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the scene at three minutes past ten.
Officers believe they know the identity of the woman, but await formal identification.
Next of kin have not yet been informed.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

Two men jailed total of 49 years for attempted murder in gang feud
Two men who conspired with a ‘hitman’ to carry out a gang assassination have been jailed for attempted murder after a re-trial at the Old Bailey.
Christopher Annan and Tyrone Wright were hired by one north London gang to assassinate a rival as part of a long-running feud.
They were found guilty Wednesday 8th April for the attempted murder of Inan Eren in Forest Road, Enfield, on 30th December 2012
24 year old Christopher Annan from Denham Road, N20 was jailed for 24 years plus an extended five years
20 year old Tyrone Wright from Lea Bridge Road, E10 was jailed for 20 years.
Mr Inan was shot three times – in the arm, leg and stomach – but he escaped to a nearby convenience store on Herford Road where his wife found him and he went to hospital and survived the attack.
Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh said:
These are professional and dangerous criminals, but through extensive and painstaking detective work we were able to piece together the evidence that has resulted in them being sent to prison for lengthy sentences.
Hackney man remanded in custody for robbery
33 year old Ashley Marvin Clarke, 33 from Amhurst Road, Hackney, E8 has been charged with two counts of robbery.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court Thursday 9th April.
He’s been further remanded in custody to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on 23rd April.
Police seek fail to stop silver Smart car driver in Havering
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Command are investigating a fail to stop collision in Rainham Road, Havering.
On Monday 6th April at five past three in the morning police were called to reports of a silver Smart Car which had rolled over and then righted itself on Rainham Road.
Witnesses reported that a male got out and carried an injured female from the car to another vehicle, asking the driver to call for an ambulance.
The male driver then left the scene in the Smart Car.
Police and the London Ambulance Service attended.
The 20-year-old woman was taken to east London hospital suffering from multiple injuries.
She remains in hospital where she’s undergone surgery.
Her condition is described serious but stable.
The Smart Car was later found burnt out in Askwith Road, Rainham.

22 year old man charged with attempted and grievous bodily harm.
22 year old Jerrell Francis from Stockwell Park Road SW9 has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of GBH with intent.
He was further charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He appeared in custody at Croydon Magistrates Court on Thursday 9th April.
Cricklewood man charged with firearms offences
48 year old Mark Anthony Bryan from Topaz Walk, NW2, has been charged (Wednesday, 8th April) with three counts of attempted murder of a police officer.
He was also charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a prohibited weapon.
He was remanded to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 9th April.
He was arrested following an incident at an address in Franklyn House, NW9, on 14th February this year.
North London man jailed for 13 years for robbing minicab driver in Tottenham and other offences
25 year old Alan Denny from Fladbury Road, N15 has been jailed for 13 years at Wood Green Crown Court for robbing a minicab driver in Tottenham and other offences.
He pleaded guilty at Wood Green Crown Court 4th February and the sentence took place 20th March.
The 47 year old minicab driver was robbed in Fladbury Road at 6 am on 26th July last year.
The victim was seriously assaulted and had his jacket containing his money stolen.
He was also sentenced for another robbery, attempted witness intimidation, theft, failure to comply with requirements of the Sex Offenders Register, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without third party insurance.
Pedestrian killed in road traffic collision in Dulwich named
The pedestrian who died in a collision with a car and bus in Grove Vale outside East Dulwich station on Sunday 29th March has been named as 22 year old Matthew Adams.
Police were called to the scene at around 8.20 pm.
London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended the scene.
Mr Adams passed away at the scene.
He was from Jennings Road, East Dulwich.
A post-mortem examination at St Thomas Hospital on 2nd April gave cause of death as multiple injuries.
At this stage it is believed he was crossing the road when he was in collision with Peugeot car travelling west on Grove Vale. The impact then knocked him into the path of a bus travelling in the opposite direction.
Both vehicles stopped at the scene.
Officers from the Roads Transport Police Command based at Catford investigate. Anyone with information is asked to contact them on 0208 285 1574.
There’ve been no arrest and enquiries continue.
Haringey police appeal to trace man following burglary
Police in Haringey have released a photograph of burglary suspect 23 year old Derya Gulsoy.
They would like to speak with him in connection with a burglary in Seaford Road, N15 on Sunday, 29th March.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may know of his whereabouts.
