Police are appealing for information after a 20-year-old man has been left in a critical condition following a violent assault in Kingston.
The victim was found near a parked car in Beverley Way, Kingston-Upon-Thames in the early hours of this morning.
The car drove away from the scene as the uniformed officers approached.
Police pursued the car but it managed to make off from the officers.
London Ambulance Service was called to the scene and the man remains in a critical condition.
The car involved was a silver Mercedes C220 Estate.
It is unknown how many suspects were in the vehicle.
This assault is thought to be linked to a fight which occurred just earlier in St. Marks Close, Fulham where a man was seen by witnesses being dragged into a car.
Another man, aged 19, was stabbed at the scene but has since been discharged from hospital.
Officers from Trident Gang Crime Command are investigating but so far no arrests have been made.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Trident Gang Crime Command on 0208 785 8580, the police non-emergency line on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
