Bookies to lose out at Grand National as nation backs McCoy

Excitement is building ahead of today’s Grand National race.

However it may be fraught with tension for the bookies.

Ladbrokes forecast that today’s race could be the worst ever for bookies, as the entire country looks to get behind champion jockey AP McCoy.

His horse Shutthefrontdoor is on track to break records as one of the most heavily backed horse in recent history.

Bookmakers are predicting that up to Β£150 million may be bet on the Grand National alone.

The Grand National gets under way at Aintree at 16.15
