Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a burning vehicle in Greenford Cemetery car park on Wednesday, 22nd April.
The fire took hold of the silver BMW car shortly after 2.20 pm in the afternoon.
It had been driven off Windmill Lane, W14.
After the London Fire Brigade were called and extinguished the blaze the 80 year old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers believe they know the identity of the man who died and his family have informed.
Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will take place later.
The Met Police say ‘while the death is not believed to be suspicious, officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating the circumstances.’
These enquiries are ongoing.
