A 37 year old man arrested for encouraging terrorism in a west London street last Thursday has been given police bail.
The Met Police say detectives from Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) detained the man at around 11 am in the morning.
He was picked up ‘on suspicion of encouragement of terrorism contrary to Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.’
After being taken to a central London Police Station for questioning, he’s been bailed to a date in mid-May pending further enquiries.’
New Scotland Yard says: ‘The man was detained under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act.’
