Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters and officers have successfully contained and put out a fire at industrial units on Propeller Way off Aerodrome Road in Hendon.
The fire damaged a carpet warehouse and a small part of the neighbouring industrial unit.
Station Manager Nic McCallum who was at the scene said:
Our crews worked quickly to get this fre under control and their prompt actions stopped it from spreading to neighbouring businesses and properties.
We’ll be reducing the number of fire engines we have at the scene shortly but we’ll have crews here damping down for the next few hours.
