An inmate at Wandsworth prison has been charged with the murder of one of his fellow prisoners.
Tarsa Nykolyn, who’s 46 years old, is charged with the murder of 56 year old Wadid Barsoum at Wandsworth Prison.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed.
Nykolyn will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday the 6th of May.
Mr Barsoum was found dead in his cell on Monday morning the 4th of May.
Police were called to the prison at around 7.35 am.
The murder investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Rebecca Reeves of the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
