Police are appealing for witnesses after the ‘unexplained’ death of a 28 year old man in Camden.
Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 5.40 am on Saturday, 2nd of May after receiving reports of a man found collapsed in Castlehaven Road.
The man was taken to a central London hospital where he died at 8.27 pm two days later, on Monday 4th of May.
Officers have confirmed that the man who died is Mahad Abdi Abshir from the Camden area.
His next of kin have been informed.
Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are leading the investigation into the circumstances of Mr Abdi Abshir’s death.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Partridge said:
Castlehaven Road is a busy location, right in the centre of Camden and even at this time of the morning people would have been on the streets possibly following a night out or on their way to work.
I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time Mr Abdi Abshir was found to come forward and speak to police.
Anyone with information is asked to call the incident room on 020 8358 0300 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
