Dramatic Soho kitchen restaurant fire followed by impromptu LFB VE parade

The dramatic tackling of a Soho restaurant kitchen fire has been followed by a moving impromptu line-up of LFB firefighters in Wardour Street.

Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers dealt with the blaze using a high turntable ladder.

The fire partly damaged the basement and ground floor of the building.

20 people evacuated the building before the Brigade arrived.

There were no injuries.

Crews from Soho, Lambeth, Kentish Town and Euston fire stations attended the incident.

The Brigade was called at 11.54 in the morning and the fire was under control by 2.32 in the afternoon.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
