Four men have been charged with offences including conspiracy to supply Class A drugs after 26 kilos of cocaine and other controlled substances were seized by police.
The drugs have been recovered by detectives from the Met’s Organised Crime Command.
On Thursday 7th May they searched a farm in Chelmsford, a residential address in Basildon and a van stopped by police in the Wickford area of Essex.
The four men have been further charged with conspiracy to supply ketamine and cannabis.
They are:
40 year old Jason Parker of no fixed address from Essex;
25 year old Thomas Hart from Cavendish Way, Sudbury, Suffolk;
58 year old Paul Bovill from Runnell Road, Wickford; and
39 year old Lee Maddin from Fifth Avenue, Basildon.
All four have been remanded in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court at a hearing today.
They next appear on 22nd May at Southwark Crown Court.
