An investigation has been launched after police recovered the body of a woman from the Grand Union Canal on Sunday the 10th of May.
The body was inside a suitcase, and it has yet to be determined how long it had been in the water.
Officers, as well as the Marine Policing Unit and London Fire Brigade, attended the scene near to Delamere Terrace at 2.35 PM after being contacted by a member of the public.
The death is being treated as suspicious and is being investigated by Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be established and the cause of death is unknown.
No arrests have been made due to the early stage of the investigation.
