Passengers on an Ilford-bound bus route 25,  are being treated for minor injuries, after the  bus hit the central reservation on the Bow Flyover.

A total of 18 people have been taken to 3 different hospitals.

The exit to the flyover is currently closed while emergency services attend the scene.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said that the bus was the only vehicle involved and no arrests have been made.

Bus routes 25, 205, 276, 425 and D8 were currently on diversion, with drivers advised to expect delays around the area.

Though the eastbound off-slip road to this section of the A12 has re-opened.
