Firefighters has been called to a scene in Tooting earlier this morning as an advertising billboard fell onto street level in Mellison Road Tooting injuring a woman.
She was hit by the falling structure but not trapped.
She’s been taken by the London Ambulance Service to hospital.

Fire crews made the area safe and left the scene in the hands of Wandsworth Council.
The Brigade was called at 07:36 and the incident was over within half an hour.
The accident caused major traffic problems during the rush hour.
Paramedic Chris Hawkswell tweeted:

The London Ambulance Service said in a statement:
We were called at 7:33 am to reports of an incident on Mellison Road at the junction of Mitcham Road, SW17.
We sent a number of resources to the scene including a responder by car, two duty station officers and our hazardous area response team.
We treated a woman reported to be in her thirties for leg and hip injuries.
She was taken to St George’s Hospital as a priority.
Station Manager Kevin McKenzie, who was at the scene said:
This could have been a much more serious incident. It is extremely lucky that there weren’t more people underneath it, cars parked or major utility networks.
