A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car during the morning rush hour in Beckenham, south east London.
Police were called to reports of a crash on Copers Cope Road just after 8:15 am today.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended the scene.
The 26 year old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene
His next of kin have been informed.
Roads in the area have been closed for purposes of the investigation.
There’ve been no arrests.
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said:
We were called at 8.07 am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and motorcycle on Copers Cope Road in Beckenham.
We sent a number of resources to the scene including London’s Air Ambulance.
Sadly, the patient was pronounced dead at the scene by the doctor from London’s Air Ambulance.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area while the road was closed for a police investigation.
Enquiries continue. Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call police on 101.
