Officers from British Transport Police have released the CCTV image of a man they want to speak to following a number of incidents on a train between London Euston and Birmingham New Street.
A number of people were sitting in coach F of the 7.42 pm Virgin Trains service on Monday, the 13th April.
A man, who smelled strongly of alcohol, made several approaches to women travellers, touching at least one of them inappropriately.
The man moved through the busy carriage, sitting or standing next to a number of women.
PC James McLaren said:
The man moved through the busy carriage, sitting or standing next to a number of women as he did so.
His behaviour was reported to the train manager who moved him into a different carriage, before the man left the service at Wolverhampton.
PC McLaren added:
As a result of our enquiries to date we have been able to isolate the image of a man who, we believe, has key information about the incident. I am now calling on anyone who recognises him to come forward.
I would also like to hear from anyone who was travelling on the service who may have been approached by the man or who may have further information.”
