One man has been killed and another critically injured with two others needing hospital treatment after a car crash in Harrow early this morning.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information.
The emergency services were called at five minutes past three this morning to reports of a collision between a blue Ford Focus and three stationary vehicles in The Mall, Harrow.
Officers, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade all attended the scene.
There were five people in the Ford Focus car- all with injuries.
A 27-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin have been informed.
Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
A 25-year-old man who was also a passenger in the vehicle was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The two remaining passengers and the driver – all of whom are men – were also taken to a west London hospital where they currently remain with injuries not thought to be serious.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Alperton are investigating.
They’re appealing to anyone who may have seen the car prior to the incident or who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
