16 year old girl held for murder of 18 year old man in Sydenham

Met Police detectives have arrested a 16 year old girl for the stabbing murder of 18 year old Nathan Murray just after midnight 1st June.

He died from his injuries in the early hours of this morning.

Police officers found Natham outside the Coop in High Street, Sydenham suffering from a stab wound to his chest.

New Scotland Yard says:

A 16-year-old girl from Lewisham who was arrested on 1 June for grievous bodily harm with intent, has today, Tuesday, 2 June been re-arrested on suspicion of murder. She remains in custody in a south London police station.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) are investigating.
