Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a man was stabbed in Hackney earlier this morning.

Emergency services were called at around 5.15 am where the 26 year old victim was found in Kingsland High Street, near the junction with Dalston Lane, E8.

He was treated by units from London Ambulance Service and taken to an east London hospital.

He is now in a serious but stable condition.

While detectives investigated Kingsland Rd was closed between Sandringham Rd and Dalston Lane and Dalston Kingsland station as closed.
