A 33-year-old man from south London has appeared at Westminster Magistrates charged with 13 terrorism offences.
Mustafa Abdullah from Binfield Road, Stockwell has been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey early next week.
His arrested followed an investigation by officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command (SO15).
Abdullah is accused of possessing a firearm ‘in circumstances which give rise to a reasonable suspicion that his possession was for a purpose connected with the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism.’
He faces 12 further charges of ‘collecting records of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.’
