Murder inquiry after man dies following stabbing at party in Abbey Wood

A murder investigation has been launched after a man stabbed following a licensed party in Abbey Wood has died.

The 26-year-old man had been taken to an east London hospital after being found in Lyndean Industrial Estate, off Felixstowe Road, SE2 in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Next of kin have been been informed.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are now investigating.

Two other men taken to hospital with knife wounds have been discharged.

They are aged 24 and 26.

Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

They were called to the estate at around ten minutes past five in the morning after receiving reports of a large fight.

Three men were found to be suffering from stab injuries.

Inspector Sean Carre-Brown from Greenwich said:

This had been an organised event with no issues, however at the close of the party a number of persons became involved in a brawl. This would have been witnessed by a large number of people leaving the party.

No arrests have been made.

26 year old Damian Fraser from Somerfield Grove, N17 has been charged with the murdering  of Renea Campbell on Saturday, 20th June at Felixstowe Road, SE2.

He’s appearing Thursday 25th June via virtual court at Bromley Magistrates’ Court

A 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody at a south London police station.

Update 26th June 2015

The Met Police announced that on Thursday 25th June Rennae Henriques from Gillham Terrace, N17 had also been charged with the murder of Renea Campbell

Henriques appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court Friday 26th June via virtual court.
