Man charged with causing death of cyclist by dangerous driving in Whitechapel last December

A man has been charged with causing the death of a cyclist by dangerous driving in Leman Street, Whitechapel last December.

47 year old Jan Junaid from Ellen Street is accused of causing the death of 57 year old specialist ventilation engineer David Blake who was from Barking.

Junaid has been bailed to appear on 22nd July at Thames Magistrates’ Court.

It was reported that Mr Blake had given up riding motorcycles because he thought they were too dangerous.

He died from head injuries after being knocked off his bicycle when on his way to work.
