Detectives from Havering have charged a man after explosives were discovered at an address in Rainham.
40 year old Ian Michael Shingler of Plough Court, Broadis Way, Rainham was charged on Tuesday, 7th July with four offences:
Possessing/controling explosive with intent to endanger life/injure property, contrary to Section 3(1)(B) of the Explosive Substances Act 1883.
Possessing explosive substance for unlawful purpose, contrary to Section 4(1) of the Explosive Substances Act 1883.
Possesing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate, contrary to Section 1(1)(B) of and schedule 6 to the Firearms Act 1968.
Possessing a thing converted into a firearm, contrary to Sections 1(1)(A) and 4(4) of and schedule 6 to the Firearms Act 1968.
Met Police in Havering said:
