Six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers have been called to a shoe shop fire on George Street in Richmond.
Part of the ground floor has been damaged by the blaze
Station Manager David Reid, who was at the scene said:
The crews did a very good job to contain the fire and get it out quickly. Thankfully no one was in the shop at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
The Brigade was called at 8.41 am in the morning and the fire was under control at 9.43 am.
Firefighters from Kingston, Chiswick, Richmond, Heston and Twickenham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
