No-one was hurt, but residents reported hearing a loud ‘sound like thunder’.
The road is currently closed to traffic, but residents have not been evacuated.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich will continue to prioritise the welfare of our residents and seek to minimise the inconvenience caused. We are ensuring that Thames Water and SGN are communicating with households at the scene.
