Fans that have always dreamed of flying the Millennium Falcon are now a step closer to the galaxy far far away.

Disney will be welcoming Star Wars land to two of its US parks in 2019, just in time for the release of the yet untitled Star Wars: Episode Nine.

Discussing the Star Wars parks when they were first announced, Disney CEO Bob Iger said:

These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

A panel for Star Wars Battlefront II was also held at this years celebration during which Electronic Arts debuted their first trailer.

The sequel to the popular 2015 reboot will be released November 17 later this year

Star Wars celebration will be skipping a year and is set to return in 2019.

With the release of new trailers, games, theme parks and a Han Solo movie just around the corner, there are plenty of exciting new things for Star wars fans to celebrate.
