Do you recognise these people? Image: Met Police
The Met Police have released an image of two women wanted in connection with a racially aggravated assault in Waltham Forest.
The incident took place just after 8.30 pm on Monday 6th November.
The police say the victim was a 15-year old Asian girl who was eating with friends in a fast food restaurant on Albert Crescent.
Food was thrown at her.
She confronted the two women pictured above who she believed had thrown the food.
She said she was then racially abused.
In the fight that followed police say the victim was thrown to the floor, repeatedly kicked, and had a hot drink poured on her.
She needed treatment for a broken arm.
The police believe the suspects could be mother and daughter.
Detective Constable Rosie Doyle of Waltham Forest CID said:
This was an unprovoked and vicious attack which has left the victim very shaken and with a serious injury. If you recognise the women in these pictures, we would urge you to get in touch.
We do not tolerate hate crime of any form and encourage victims and witnesses to come forward and report such incidents to the police.
Police urge any with information to call their non-emergency number 101 or contact them via twitter at @MetCC or @MPSWForest.
