Trump’s dismissing intelligence reports on North Korea
Donald Trump has dismissed threat assessments offered to Congress by U.S. top intelligence officials.
On Tuesday, a US intelligence report said Iran was not making nuclear weapons and that North Korea remained ‘unlikely to give up’ its weapons stockpiles.
But Mr Trump has issued a series of tweets where he defends his more confident assertions on North Korea.
Among other things he said that there was a ‘decent chance of denuclearization’ with Pyongyang.
47 migrants permitted to reach Sicily shore
Giuseppe Conte, the Italian Prime Minister has said that the 47 migrants who have been blocked at sea off Sicily will be allowed to come ashore.
The migrants have been waiting on a rescue ship for 11 days.
Italy’s populist government, which took office last year, has closed its ports to humanitarian vessels in a bid to force European Union partners to take a share of those rescued in the Mediterranean.
Five European countries have agreed to accept some of the migrants.

Palestinian teen shot dead by Israeli forces
A 16-year old Palestinian girl has been shot dead by Israeli forces.
The girl allegedly tried to carry out a stabbing attack at a checkpoint between the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
Palestinian officials identified the dead girl as a resident of the Palestinian city of Ramallah.
Five people saved from Tatra Mountains in Poland
Five people who were buried in an avalanche in the Tatra Mountains of Southern Poland have been saved by rescue teams.
Rescue worker Stanislaw Krzeptowski-Sabala said : ‘The condition of three people is serious. One person has already been transported to the hospital in Zakopane. Our helicopter is transporting other victims.’
Mountain services set the threat of avalanche in Tatra Mountains at moderate, according to state news agency PAP.
This means avalanches could be triggered, especially on steep slopes.
