Excavation starts in search for Fred West victim
Excavation has begun at a café in Gloucester thought to be linked to serial killer Fred West and missing person, Mary Bastholm.
The site being excavated was the work place of Ms Bastholm who went missing in 1968 and was frequented by West.
A TV production company filming at the cafe, found material at the site which resembled the clothing worn by Ms Bastholm on the day she went missing.
West took his own life in 1995 before he was able to stand trial for multiple murder charges, but his son told police that he confessed to killing Bastholm.
Excavation work will take at least two weeks to complete.
