According to the findings of Sheldon review, Football Association had significant institutional failings, seeing that they “did not do enough to keep children safe”.
This independent review into historical child sexual abuse led to conclusions such as the FA not knowing of these issues until the summer of 1995 and not taking enough protection measures from that date until May 2000.
